I bought these after wearing 4 pairs of Merrel trailgloves and vapogloves over 3 years and getting sick of paying through the nose for them. I tried cheaper amazon rip offs and sent them back as they were poor imitations of barefoot shoes. Eventually I found these shoes and after sending a pair back which were too big for me (I'm a half size down in these compared to the merrels) I landed on my Freet Tanga. It is worth noting that the exchange process was very easy and their customer service was excellent. I have worn these running, hiking, sailing, exploring cities, mountain climbing, rock climbing and working across 15 countries over the last 12 months. They are my only shoe (apart from my hiking boots). I work full time on my feet for about 6 months of the year, and I run in them 2-3x weekly. At 115kg, I'm not gentle on my running shoes, but these have held up brilliantly. The sole is a little thicker and stiffer than the Merrel Vaporgloves (which wore through the sole in 8 weeks), but are similar to the Merrel trail gloves. They have an authentic barefoot connection with the ground and a wide toe box without looking like you are wearing clown shoes. The elastic laces have stretched a little over time, but by tying a knot in them I have managed to keep them tight enough to run comfortably, but still able to be easily slipped on and off. The rubber over the lateral forefoot is quite worn now, and so I am looking for another pair (and I would like a waterproof shoe now that I'm running in winter), but I will happily buy another pair of these AND a waterproof pair of Freets for my winter runs. I cannot overstate how much I have put these shoes through, and how happy I am with them. 10/10 guys.
