The best guide for sizing your new Freet shoes is to start with your usual shoe size. Think about whether you always take this size or whether you sometimes need to go smaller or larger.

Customer feedback is that this style fits true to size; so order your normal size.

Our shoes are originally produced in EU sizes. All US sizes are the closest conversion so, if you know your EU size, you may want to consider using this.

The lengths shown are the Insole lengths (the actual shoe length will be 2 or 3 mm longer).

Measuring Your Foot

Sometimes as a second check it is worth measuring your foot. Feet can be different sizes so its worth measuring both and taking the largest.

Standing next to a wall place a piece of paper against the wall. Place your foot on the paper with your heel just touching the wall.

  • The next stage is easier if you get someone else to help do it.
  • Take a pencil or pen and trace the outline of the foot on the paper.
  • Start at the heel.
  • Keep the pen at 90 degrees to the paper, so vertical, see diagram.
  • Don't draw under the foot.
Keep pencil verical
Taking a ruler measure the length of the outline in millimetres. This will be the exact size of the insole you will need. To ensure the fit is not tight add another 5.0 - 10.0 mm to the length. If you wear thick socks then add that thickness to the length.

Measuring your outline

If possible, please work from the EU sizes (the US and UK sizes are nearest conversions to these sizes so will not be as accurate). The lengths and widths are the dimensions of the insole in mm measured as per the picture below:

Most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn!

I’m pretty new to barefoot shoes. I actually returned a couple of pairs from other brands before settling on these, as the fit hadn’t been quite right. These are hands down the most comfortable and best fitting shoes I’ve ever worn in my life. Amazing and highly recommend.

I bought my first pair of tanga 2 from a shop in Kington

I bought my first pair of tanga 2 from a shop in Kington. I probably wouldn't have bought them from just seeing them on line. I bought them for work. They are so very comfortable and light thay bought another pair on line in a sale, in a different colour forevery day use. The toe box is very roomy so I can ware toe socks when it's cold.

Not the right shoe for me

This shoe has a really stretchy, soft knit and comfortable sole with just enough squish. But the shape is really off for my foot. The toe points in too much and is too wide. I returned these and bought the original Tanga because it looks like the design is closer to Feldom which is the right shape for my foot. I bought 39 which is the same length as Feldom in 39 (size 8 in the US).

We love it

I think we've bought over 8 pair of Tanga by now, my kids and me love them, they're perfect for wide feet.
I might add I liked the old design better.
