Sizing True (i)

This shoe fits true to size

The best guide for sizing your new Freet shoes is to start with your usual shoe size. Think about whether you always take this size or whether you sometimes need to go smaller or larger.

Customer feedback is that this style fits true to size; so order your normal size.

Our shoes are originally produced in EU sizes. All US sizes are the closest conversion so, if you know your EU size, you may want to consider using this.

Measuring Your Foot

Sometimes as a second check it is worth measuring your foot. Feet can be different sizes so its worth measuring both and taking the largest.

Standing next to a wall place a piece of paper against the wall. Place your foot on the paper with your heel just touching the wall.

Measuring Your Foot
  • The next stage is easier if you get someone else to help do it.
  • Take a pencil or pen and trace the outline of the foot on the paper.
  • Start at the heel.
  • Keep the pen at 90 degrees to the paper, so vertical, see diagram.
  • Don't draw under the foot.
Keep pencil verical
Taking a ruler measure the length of the outline in millimetres. This will be the exact size of the insole you will need. To ensure the fit is not tight add another 5.0 - 10.0 mm to the length. If you wear thick socks then add that thickness to the length.
Measuring your outline

If possible, please work from the EU sizes (the US and UK sizes are nearest conversions to these sizes so will not be as accurate). The lengths and widths are the dimensions of the insole in mm measured as per the picture below:

No son para el invierno

Cuando recibe las zapatillas, quede un poco decepcionado. Pensé que iban a tener el mismo upper que las Conect 3, y resulta que tienen una tela muy fina, como de verano. Mi idea era tener unas zapatillas de montaña para el invierno. Así que las tendré que reservar para cuando haga mejor tiempo. De talla bien, y en cuanto al envío también.

a bit ‘baggy’ round the ankle

I have very wide feet and high insteps. if I m careful when I lace these up they are comfortable, but they are cut quite low round the ankle/heel and often feel loose. butI need to make sure I don’t lace them up tightly as then the rest of my foot would hurt! but they are shoes which are getting plenty of wear. my third pair.

Not quite barefoot shoes, I mean vibrams are flatter, but that said, they're still very good and comfortable with nice wide toe box.

Great product, not-so-great customer service.

I bought a pair of Feldoms, and the shoe is amazing. It was exactly what I wanted. I had to return them though, because they were a bit big. The sizing was my mistake, because these shoes are actually foot-shaped. I have always had to buy shoes a couple inches longer than my foot, because I have such wide feet. The sides of my feet will be squeezed in the shoes, while my toes are a good bit from the end. In the Feldoms, my feet slid all the way to the end, making me have to exchange the shoes for a size smaller.
When I went to buy a size smaller, after I had placed and paid for the order, Freet emailed me and said the color of shoe I ordered was not in stock, they then asked me if I was fine if they shipped the other color. After I agreed, I got another email asking me to pay another $33 to get the other color because the Black Friday sale was over. After sending two emails asking them to fix this error (since I had bought the original shoes on sale, but Freet had a stock error), I got a third email telling me my shoes are shipped. I got responses to my emails the next day, I think because Freet is located in the UK, so a different time zone.
If you buy shoes from Freet (the shoes are amazing), make sure to do your due diligence (especially on sizing) to make sure you don't need to deal with customer service.

Hi Asher, I'm sorry for this issue caused by our 'out of hours' AI responses which we have now switched off. I think our office resolved your issue as soon as they came in the next day. All the best, Andrew

I like these

Can't comment on durability as I've only had them two weeks, but they're better on hard surfaces than the Xero Mesa Trail and less awkwardly shaped than the Vivobarefoot Primus Trail - and cheaper than both.
