Originally, I purchased these in a size 4, and for a brief moment I was in love. I have never put on a pair of shoes before and thought, "this is how shoes should fit," but in this case I did. At least, I did for one of my feet. Unfortunately the other foot is apparently a little wider/longer than the other foot because my toes were cramped and the shoe rubbed noticably against the side of my foot just below the pinky toe.
Ultimately, I would say the issue was the width. For reference my larger foot is roughly 22.6cm at the widest. If your feet are the same width you might like to check reviews for other styles first because...
I decided to purchase these in a size 5, instead. The fit was nowhere near as amazing, and you could see from how the tongue of the shoe fit that they were a little too big. It solved the toebox problem but created new issues, namely the shoe creasing very uncomfortably across my large toe - and the positioning was clearly not right - but again only on that one foot. Notably, even in the size up, if my foot was in the 'correct' place the width would be too narrow.
It took me a a few hours to decide whether to stick with the size 4 or the size 5, but ultimately I decided on the latter. If the size 4s didn't give there was no way I'd be able to wear them, whereas the size 5s had possible solutions - thicker socks, heel grips, etc. Sending them both back was an option, but I've been stuck in a cycle of sending back shoes before and it costs money/time to do that, time and money that adds up.
Outside of sizing issues, the shoes are great. They look fantastic, feel sturdy, aren't overly heavy, and are going to be a good choice for the wetter, colder weather. If they'd been wide enough I would have nothing but glowing things to say about these, so if they'll fit you they are a definite recommend.
