Great shoe, very comfortable but had to go a size bigger for the perfect fit

I have high volume wide Feet, Perfect Fit, Great Grip, Great Ground feel. As a bonus, they are just a nice looking shoe, I have a hard time finding shoes that are practical, comfortable, and well made. These definitely fit the bill.

Just what i've been looking for. A pair of barefoot shoes that are great in the mud. Originally wanted Vivo primus trail SG's but the toe box has narrowed on these as they pinched my toes compared with my old Vivo primus trail FG's These are as good as my old Inov8 mudclaw 300's in the mud, but with a wide toe box, zero drop and great ground feel, which considering the 6mm lugs is amazing. Drainage is fast, and with wool socks, i've worn these in -3 and my feet have remained comfortable, even when wet. I wear these without the innersole and find that heel lock is great, no slippage at all. Initially i hated the colour and was going to cover over the orange with a black marker pen, but decided against this and have grown to really like them. These Calver 2's are 2-3mm shorter in length than my feldoms, but a tad wider in the toes. There are some loose threads which are visible on the inside under the innersole which had tape holding them down. Some off the tape came off when the shoes got wet. I have replaced the tape and it seems to be holding ok. A bit concerned that the threads will pull over time causing stitching to come undone. I will observe and monitor. Over all very impressed with these and for the price they're outstanding.

I got a size larger than my usual ( as people suggested ) and bought springy insoles. Its just right for running around my local park which involves all kinds of surfaces and inclines.

Very comfy with excellent grip in muddy conditions.
