This shoe fits true to size

The best guide for sizing your new Freet shoes is to start with your usual shoe size. Think about whether you always take this size or whether you sometimes need to go smaller or larger.

Customer feedback is that this style fits true to size; so order your normal size.

Our shoes are originally produced in EU sizes. All US sizes are the closest conversion so, if you know your EU size, you may want to consider using this.

The lengths shown are the Insole lengths (the actual shoe length will be 2 or 3 mm longer). The widths are measured across the flex point of the insole. The actual width of the shoe will be 2-4mm greater at each side of the shoe.

Measuring Your Foot

Sometimes as a second check it is worth measuring your foot. Feet can be different sizes so its worth measuring both and taking the largest.

Standing next to a wall place a piece of paper against the wall. Place your foot on the paper with your heel just touching the wall.

  • The next stage is easier if you get someone else to help do it.
  • Take a pencil or pen and trace the outline of the foot on the paper.
  • Start at the heel.
  • Keep the pen at 90 degrees to the paper, so vertical, see diagram.
  • Don't draw under the foot.

Taking a ruler measure the length of the outline in millimetres. This will be the exact size of the insole you will need. To ensure the fit is not tight add another 5.0 - 10.0 mm to the length. If you wear thick socks then add that thickness to the length.

Measuring your outline

If possible, please work from the EU sizes (the US and UK sizes are nearest conversions to these sizes so will not be as accurate). The lengths and widths are the dimensions of the insole in mm measured as per the picture below:

Schöner Schuh, tolle Sohle

Der erste Eindruck vom Connect 4 ist sehr gut. Den Punktabzug habe ich gemacht, weil der Schuh für einen Barfußschuh sehr steif ist. Alles weitere wird sich noch im Gebrauch zeigen.
Die Sohle ist sehr gut und auch der Gripp. Die Wasserdichtigkeit konnte ich noch nicht testen.

Der Schuh fällt jedoch sehr klein aus. Ich musste 1 Nummer größer nehmen und auch dann passt er gerade so.

Might be my favourite Freet yet

Got them in the sale and wish I'd bought them ages ago. Ideal everyday shoe for me - super comfy fit, wide toebox, just like my Mudee 2s, but more of a trainer style. Not tried them in wet grass yet, but have been on dog walks over mixed terrain and they have good grip and just the right amount of flexibility.

Only minor gripes so far: the ankle part flares out a little when they are not pulled tight, so hoping that won't let water in, and I have to agree about the laces being too long.

Will definitely buy again when these have worn out (or if not connect, something with the same shape and sole).

Not as well fitting as several other pairs of Freet shoes that I have, just a little bit under-sized, but stretching out quite nicely. Should beO.K.in a few weeks.

Too small

Althoughthe shoes were described as normal fit, they were too small. So I had to send them back and purchase the same pair one size larger than usual
