Midiendo tu pie
A veces, como segunda comprobación, merece la pena medir el pie. Los pies pueden ser de diferentes tamaños, así que es recomendable medir ambos y quedarse con el mayor.
De pie junto a una pared, coloca una hoja de papel contra la pared. Pon el pie sobre el papel con el talón tocando apenas la pared.
- El siguiente paso es más fácil si consigues que alguien te ayude.
- Coge un lápiz o bolígrafo y traza el contorno del pie en el papel.
- Comienza por el talón.
- Mantén el bolígrafo a 90 grados respecto al papel, es decir, en vertical, consulta el diagrama.
- No dibujes debajo del pie.
Si es posible, utiliza las tallas de la UE (las tallas US y UK son conversiones aproximadas y pueden no ser tan precisas). Las longitudes y anchos son las dimensiones de la plantilla en mm, medidas según la imagen de abajo:

Acerca de Danum
- El upper tipo calcetín de BottleYarn y los cordones planos proporcionan un ajuste verdaderamente minimalista, como descalzo.
- La suela cosida HillGrip es duradera y ofrece una tracción segura en terrenos mixtos.
- Un poco más alta en el tobillo que un zapato convencional, con lengüeta tipo fuelle para mantener fuera la suciedad del sendero.

Danum
The Danum is a brilliant outdoor shoe. Whether it is walking into town across the fields from here or venturing into the hills, the Danum works really well as a three season boot, but isn't out of place for everyday wear. With the current drought, there hasn't been much chance to try them under proper wet conditions. A walk through wet grass after a shower left the uppers wet but they dried in no time.
I was skeptical at first but the Danum ticks all the boxes: Comfy, breathable upper, rugged enough for outdoor use but sports a sleek look for daily wear. The mesh seems durable but time will tell, I am a bit worried that the eyelets will rip due to them not being reinforced. I was also a bit skeptical of the large stack height (i own a pair of sock-like shoes which have a stack height of ~2mm) but this was a non issue for me while walking around.
All in all I can't recommend these more.
I got these for hikes and walks with my dog (not running, I have trail shoes for that) and to wear around the campsite on my road trip to Oregon.
Super comfortable and breathable. It's a shoe I never feel like taking off since it's so breathable and roomy while still having great heel lockdown for me (size 10 US, my feel are around 27 cm long 10-10.1 cm wide). The grip is good too, not too high a stack but also enough cushion to feel supportive when hiking.
This shoe made me realize non barefoot shoes are always a bit too narrow in the forefoot for me which is why they always tired me out after a few hours. These shoes are super comfortable.
This is currently my favourite piece of footwear.
It looks cool, feels great and is both smart enough with chinos yet versatile enough for the gym and trekking! I love them!
