The order for a family member was promptly delivered, and reportedly the boots fitted well and were comfortable.

Very happy with this purchase. The leather upper is very soft making the shoe extremely comfortable to wear. I am also happy with the low profile sole.
I take UK size 8 normal shoes but my other walking shoes & boots are usually a UK size 9, however following the review I purchased the size 8 Esk. With thicker socks these are fine, however I think a size 7 would have been too small as the length and toe room for the big toe is fine with the size 8. If 1/2 sizes were made then maybe a 7.5 UK size would have been ok. However I added an extra basic insole from Freet and that has done the job in improving the fit with thinner casual socks as opposed to walking/hiking socks, which are also Ok.
As I was very happy with these Esk bootees I also purchased a Citee pair of shoes and these are also very very comfortable. My normal UK size 8 was fine in these Citee shoes.

I am really pleased with my new Esk boots; they are very comfortable and I know they are going to be lovely and warm for the winter. I bought them to replace my old Mudee boots which were a firm favourite. I went down a size from my old boots and found they were a perfect fit.

I absolutely love my Esks. They are everything I hoped for. I am new to barefoot shoes and wanted footwear that covered many bases. Light is very important to me, these are certainly that. I wanted my toes to be free, so much wiggle room. From the moment I put them on they have been so comfortable. I have worn them walking in the countryside and everything in between. I have the ortho insole which makes them that bit more comfy. Fit wise, I should have gone for the size below, I am a UK 5 and a half, I had the 39 size. I should have read the guidance.
One of the surprising benefits is how stable I feel wearing my Freets. I just feel more connected and balanced to the ground.
I did put dubbing on them to make them more water resistant. Made from a lovely quality leather, I basically didn't wear any other shoes until the warm weather came. When I got my second pair of Freet summer shoes .

Hands down the most comfortable, practical yet stylish shoes I’ve worn. They can only be challenged by my Teva Tirras but these have the benefit of keeping the wet out better than sandals. I’d be surprised if I don’t buy another pair of the Esk when my current ones wear out.
