Behind the Name- Zennor 2: Inspired by a Coastal Classic
Along the rugged Cornish coastline, dotted with hidden coves and windswept headlands, you’ll find the village of Zennor. Easy to miss, but once discovered, hard to forget. With ancient stone cottages, a famous old church, and sea views that stretch endlessly west, it’s a place that invites you to slow down and explore.

Legend has it that a mermaid once fell in love with a local man and lured him into the sea near Zennor Head. Whether or not you believe the story, there’s no denying this place carries a certain magic.
Zennor holds a special place in our story, too. Andrew and Sarah have visited this part of the country many times, with some of their fondest family memories tied to the coastal path between St Ives and Zennor. It was on this very trail- scrambling over boulders, ducking beneath twisted hawthorn, and pausing to spot seals or dolphins in the surf - that the inspiration for Zennor 2 took shape.
Zennor is more than just charming. It’s a proper coastal village shaped by centuries of tide and time. We wanted to make a shoe that honoured its rugged variety. The Zennor 2 multi-activity sandal was developed and tested along this very stretch of coastline—on slippery harbour steps, granite-strewn paths, and even down to the pebbled edges of hidden coves.
Every tweak in the design came from real experience. Whether it was adjusting the insole after miles of coastal terrain or making sure the grip held firm on wet rock, this was footwear built through doing - not guessing.
Where the original Zennor gave you freedom and versatility, Zennor 2 builds on that legacy with improved grip, a refined fit, and new sustainable materials. It’s light enough for spontaneous detours, tough enough for all-day adventures, and breathable enough for the warm Cornish air.
