These are my first Freet shoes and they are amazing. I needed to replace my barefoot hiking boots from another brand that are too low volume for my feet.
The toe box is nice and roomy and my toes can properly splay. The leather is super soft out of the box. The ankle is a tad stiff now but I’m sure the leather will soften as I hike more. If you are looking for a roomier, quality hiking boot, give this a try!
Great products, but I wish customer service would email me back. The shoes I got in the past fit perfect but the boots are to tight in the same size. I would love to do an exchange on the two pairs I bought.
Shoes are super comfortable, feel super well made, and are breaking in fast. I had to go down half a size though, as at my US size 9.5 I was swimming in the shoe. Also, the lack of grommets for the laces might be a problem in the long run. I broke one of the leather lace loops in the first few tightening sessions. I assume it's a fluke though. Freet graciously sent me another pair as a replacement (without me having to ask) (though mine are still fucntional with some minor repair work). Hopefully the second pair don't have the same lace loop issue.
Regardless, highly recommended both from a quality / comfort and customer service perspective.
The boots arrived very quickly and were exactly as described. I am normally a size 6 so ordered a 6 but actually these boots are very roomy possibly due to the wide foot so I could probably have gotten away with a 1/2 size smaller. Their first expedition was in our hills and plantations: they were fantastic in the mud and on wet roots and rocks providing plenty of grip. I am looking forward to taking them on a proper hike to see how they perform.for a longer period, bit so far so good.
Great grip but still sensitive enough to drive and judge the ground. Great looks, premium leather and a waterproof membrane. Where were these for my 30 years as a rights of way officer? Would have saved some ingrowing toenails and leaving standard hiking boots off because of multi stop site visits.
