Great Minimalist shoe for Trails!

I love them. They are wide enough for my son's feet (unlike other barefoot shoes) and perfect for everyday use (school/gym). The only drawback is that there are not many colours to choose from.

I have run almost 1000 km with the Flex Freet and I am delighted. And I could run more kilometres if it weren't for my way of stepping, which has worn down the heel part. I use them to run in a nearby forest, so I use them for light trail (not for mountain). I had to put the 6 mm insole, instead of the 3 mm one, so as not to feel too much of the gravel in the forest, and that combination was perfect for me.
I love the lacing system of these shoes, because by pulling the ends it adjusts completely at all points (the Pace Freet model has the same system).
Note that they are not winter shoes, because they are so light that you can feel cold. I don't see this as something against them; I see it as a characteristic of the shoe to make it more versatile for the rest of the year.
Note that I have already bought a second pair, taking advantage of an offer, to continue enjoying the running sensations of this shoe.
Please note that I have several Freet shoes: Flex, York, Richmon, Pace, Connect 3, Boote and Keld. I also tried other models but had to return them because I wear a size 48 and these models were too small (and there is no size larger than 48). The models I returned were: Feldom, Calver, Mudee and Vibe.
Summary: The Flex Freet are versatile shoes for running on asphalt and also for light trail running. They are also nice for casual wear. A good investment.

I have bought, and returned, two pairs of barefoot shoes from a different brand - too narrow, so was wary of buying yet another pair, from Freet. I sized up a little, and can report that they fit me, and are comfortable. So much so, in fact, that I was considering which pair to buy next, when I learned that I had won a pair of my choice!
The flex shoes are comfortable for all day wear, but unlikely to be warm enough in the depths of winter, or waterproof, but the shoes I chose as my prize will be. I am very happy!

am using these with the 6mm insoles as i adjust to barefoot shoes , lovely and light and plenty of room for thicker socks in winter , a different type of super shoe 👍
