Bootee 2

The best shoes ever, even if I say so myself. And I do. I do say it 🙂

So far the shoes are as described, comfortable for all day where, waterproof, easy on and off. My only issue is one shoe makes a clunky sound whenwalking, I'm hoping they just need to be broke in. I only have about 24 hrs of wear time. This is my 2nd pair of Freets and I like them both, looking to buy the leather shoe from them next.

Initially I was very pleased with my purchase of the Bootee 2 boots. I have been searching for a pair of vegan barefoot bootsfor a long time. For the first 2 weeks of daily walking through damp or wet grass they kept my feet very dry. But I soon noticed my socks getting wet around the seams where the upper meets the trim. This has disappointed me because I was hoping they would stay waterproof for longer than 2 weeks
I have subsequently purchased (on your recommendation) some Nikwax Fabric and Leather Proof. I have yet to apply it so am unable to say if it has worked. Other than this issue I they are great boots.

I wear these boots on mixed terrain (mostly on hikes in Tenerife) and on winter city walks too (if I have to travel in winter), and I really love them, even though I bought a size slightly larger than I needed.

But that doesn’t spoil the experience: they generally don’t slip, the laces allow them to be adjusted snugly to the foot – and my feet stay dry even in the rain.

Perhaps it’s precisely because of their waterproofing that my feet don’t breathe as well in them.

I’ve been wearing them for half a year and I really love them.
