They’re great. The sole is the right side of not too thin and the width is wonderful for my feet to spread out in properly. I had a problem with the first pair melting in the car and they were really helpful sorting this out straight away and as they weren’t fixable at the cobblers, they sent a new pair straight away. I also have the walking boots too and they have transformed enjoyment of walks for me as well now my toes aren’t rubbing together.

So comfortable, even when walking in woodland. Only thing I'm mindful of is that a lot of dust and dirt from regular street walking gets trap in the same.

Salcombe meets my expectations 100% since it is a great alternative to Birkenstocks which have a rather rigid sole and are much too expensive. They are also great for wide or very wide feet. The only deficit: They will tint your feet black.

Comfortable and look good but are still staining feet black after a fortnight of wearing them most days. Sometimes catches the ground at the front due to the thin, flexible sole. Maybe future designs could account for these two concerns? But overall, a lovely pair of sandals that I enjoy wearing.

I really love Freet shoes and have had excellent experiences with the closed shoe designs. These sandals though have proved problematic because of the design. The sole is almost flip flop like and the design means your foot moves independently of the front of the sole (unlike a more built up, moulded cork sole type of sole). This means the front part keeps catching on the ground and folding under my toes as I walk- they are the right size and I’m not someone who drags their feet. As a result I can’t use them for anything longer than a quick stroll, during which I have to concentrate really hard and flex my toes upwards! The feel otherwise is so comfortable and the straps are good quality so it is a big pity the sole design lets these sandals down so significantly.
