Tundra

It looks comfortable. I will wear it in colder conditions in some weeks.

I have been barefoot for a number of years now and have long been a fan of a very famous brand. However, the famous brand boots are NOT waterproof, whatever they say! I live and walk in the NW of England `(our hills and fells are very wet) so I need serious waterproofing and have always sworn by leather boots. Eventually though, various good reviews on social media persuaded me to try Freet. I have Mudees, which I love, but was attracted by the more 'boot like' Tundra. I have not been disappointed.

I've had my tundras for about 2 1/2 years. Initially I didn't wear them much - my feet got quite cold (in cold weather) or sweaty (in hot weather) in them, so they were mostly just handy for wearing at work since they look classy, or when it was raining. However, over the past year they've turned into my go-to shoe. In cold weather, I pop in an extra pair of lamb wool insoles (I ordered a size up so that just about works, and I loosen the laces when I wear warm socks). They're great for rainy British weather. Not found a solution for warm days but I guess they're not made for that anyway.

I have lived in my Tundra for the last 3 years and they are still going strong. Incredibly soft and comfy & in all this time no wet feet experienced. Previously I had only ever had leather walking boots but the microfibre of the Tundra has performed very well and is sooo easy to maintain - a quick wipe with a damp cloth and the occasional spray proofer and they look as good as new. I can definitely recommend them.

This is my 2 year review of the Tundra: I am a gardener/landscaper on a country estate and I have used this boot extensively - having been my only work boot through two winters and two summers These were designed as a hiking boot really and I have done a lot of great hiking in them. But at work I’ve really punished these boots and done things with them that they probably weren’t designed to cope with. I can now confirm the microfibre upper is virtually indestructible and only gets better with age as it softens and yields to your foot. They have now become moccasin-like. Stitching and fabric are entirely intact apart from one snag where I was careless with a big thorn. They are so lightweight which is a really important and often overlooked feature of barefoot boots. The waterproofing is excellent and have had no problem submerging them up to the gusset. I’ve had to apply a lot of flexible bonding glue to the upper/sole seam over time to keep them watertight so this is definitely a weak point, but this may be due to extreme toe flexion working knelt/crouched on the ground a lot. So if the Tundra were sidewall stitched too they’d be the perfect boot in my eyes. But in short - these boots are a triumph! Buy them.
