These are not the first pair of Freet I’ve had the pleasure of owning

These are not the first pair of Freet I’ve had the pleasure of owning. I’ve got serious walking boots, shoes and my previous trainers which were starting to get slightly worn so these are their replacement. As before absolutely brilliant-love them have worn them quite a bit since they arrived and last Sunday did a good stretch of the South West Coastal path in them. My feet suffer from various problems at my advanced age and with years of use running fell walking etc but these little darlings are just about the only trainers I forget I’m wearing.

These shoes are great

These shoes are great. Roomy, well made, with a solid sole that protects feet from rocks. Make sure to size up. I went half a size up and they are a little snug. I could have benefited from going a full size up.

Great in dry trails, sandy trails, and rocky trails

Biggest foot measures about 25.3 cm long and 10 cm wide and got these in a 42 EU. I've been injured for the past few months and just got the chance to take these puppies on a power hike and a trail run. The 4mm lugs and the 12.5 mm stack height offers pretty good ground feel while protecting against some larger stones. I haven't encountered any rocks that would make me want the rock plate just yet. I've run on 25% gradient inclines and declines in these, hopped rock to rock, and scrambled some rocks, but have yet to slip once. They have great heel hold, but you need to tighten them just right otherwise you might get some Achilles heel rubbing.

Only a few minor issues noted:

These rubbed my Achilles a bit on some steep downhills, especially so because I like to crank the top lace slots. I think the issue will dissipate once these shoes are broken in a bit more.
The laces are super long, even with a "runner's knot."

Overall, this is a very great shoe and is the best closed toe trail runners with a < 15 mm stack height that I have in my arsenal. I feel agile, and secure in these, which allows me to have fun on the trail.

Great shoe! Happy jugger!

Great shoe! I'm usually a size EU45 but went with a 46 since the sizes are in the smaller end. My right foot is 290~mm and the shoes fits well, with a slightly larger (toe)sock but still giving me some wiggleroom. The downsides about the shoe is: (1) the small toebox, I got quite a big spred and always use toesocks, and this toebox does not give me any play to the sides, even pushing my bigtoe in slightly; (2) the fabric on the upper is (for my taste) way to thick and dosen't let my feet breath as much as I would like.

Other than that, it's a really great shoe. It will serve me well on the pitch. Oh, yeah, I am (and will) only use these for playing jugger.

Cheers! Glad jugger!
