So far so good :) I tested the shoes on the rocky paths of the Vosges mountain in Alsace-France

So far so good :) I tested the shoes on the rocky paths of the Vosges mountain in Alsace-France and appreciated "feeling the ground" without any discomfort even on spiky rocks.
I made the mistake of not wearing socks, so of course I got a blister...but my feet tend to get really hot and swollen when I hike so it was no surprise and it had nothing to do with the shoes themselves.
I haven't tested them in water yet but i already know that i'll have to be careful with the quite wide ankle opening...and maybe add waterproof socks.

Great for high insteps

Bought these for my son who's feet are not quite men's and no longer kids. He likes to have room around his toes. He has a high instep and the stretch in these shoes has sorted that issue. We tried Flex but they have a low instep.

Very comfortable

This shoe is very comfortable, it feels like being in a sock. It is great for an easy trekking, but on longer or more technical trails I prefer a model that holds more to the feet, like the Feldom for example.

As with my previous purchases from Freet

As with my previous purchases from Freet, the quality of service and high quality of shoes have been excellent, from ordering to delivery and also probably most importantly the comfort and wearability of the shoes.

My new Freet Howgills have been very comfortable from the outset

My new Freet Howgills have been very comfortable from the outset. They are a little big for me but I'm coping. I wore them recently on a showery day, walking on some wet grass. Fortunately, I wore them with waterproof socks so my feet stayed dry. The shoes took a surprisingly long time to dry. On a very wet day, they would be hopeless, but I guess that's not what they are designed for.
